A Perfect Texas Oak

The most common tree in the Texas flatlands is the Oak Tree. They dot the landscape from San Antonio up to the Northern Texas border.

Dallas Dog Park

This is not an official dog park but is used as one in Highland Park just off of Douglas St. It is a great place to go walk around.

Atrium Building

This building in Downtown Dallas has a beautiful atrium inside of its walls. It faces East towards City Hall on the Eastern side of the city.

Inside Dallas' New Terminal D

The new International Terminal at DFW Airport will be busy this weekend. I am just glad that I am not traveling.

Vacant Building

It may look like a downtown brownstone but really it's an office at the Southlake Town Center. Every time I go to this new complex I feel like I am in Back to the Future.

Fields of Green

Even in winter you can find some greenery in Dallas. This Oak tree spotted meadow is in Castle Hills, 15 miles north of Dallas.

Giant Ornaments

Tis the season for oversized ornaments. These sit on the lawn leading up to Sabre Holdings Corporate HQ just outside of Trophy Club.

Winter Prairie Grasses

In the winter in North Texas the prairie grasses change to a bright yellow giving the vision of golden fields.

Frisco Square X Mas Tree

This is the focal point at Frisco Square this Christmas season. This area is starting to thrive and the Square is one reason.

Keep Out

It looks like a very nice stone wall but really it's the boundary to Vaquero. This ultra high end development in Westlake has the wall guarding the internal goods.

Cow Mural

Southlake, Texas has done a cow mural theme around town just like in many other cities. This one depicts 3 cowgirls in the prarie.

Pizza Hut Park

This is the South entrance to Pizza Hut Park is located in Frisco, located north of Dallas and is home to the Major League Soccer team (FC Dallas) based here in North Texas.

The blue Texas sky and the dried out winter field contrast nicely in Westlake, Texas. This was taken yesterday when the weather was an unseasonably warm 78 degrees.

Highland Park Fountain

This is the entrance to Highland Park. This area is the sister city to Beverly Hills, CA.

This is Hooters and Dick's Last Resort on a Saturday evening just before a Maverick's game. This area of town buzzes on game night.

West End Marketplace

This is the site of the old West End Marketplace. The gallery is now deserted but the gathering area outside of it is still likely during the day.

Wild Flower Arrangement

This group of flowers grows off of Douglas Ave. in Dallas. It's a nice scene especially when all of the trees are bare during winter.

This area just off of Commerce Street is becoming the up and coming area in downtown. With new apartments and restaurants popping up everywhere.

This walk from Victory to the West Side Market is traveled less frequently these days. A lot of the businesses are moving from the West Side area over to Victory.

Adolphus Hotel Balcony

This is one of the balconies off of the famed Adolphus Hotel in downtown Dallas. I believe this door opens to one of their ballrooms on the 2nd floor of the hotel.

Fall Still in the Air

Fall is still in the air even after our early season snow storm last Thursday. These trees are bright red and still beautiful.

Probably the most identified building at night in Dallas, the Bank of America Building is outlines in neon green lights to give definition to the skyline.
