Dallas Castle

This building is located just off of Dealey Plaza in in downtown Dallas. It is going through a renovation currently to restore it to look like it did back in the early 1900's.

Hi guys,

I'm surprised to find a building like this in Dallas, what is it used for and what was it's original purpose?

Looks like a lovely late Victorian building with all that "Rapunzel" tower stuff happening!

when my girls were little they thought this was a castle with a princess in it! Also, to the Italian moved to Dallas, you may be interested in several TX courthouses because of the Italian artisans who were brought over to work on them. There's even one, in Waxahachie I think, that has quite a story to it. The Italian artisan fell in love with a local girl and added her image / face to the facade but as the relationship went sour the face changed so that the first face is beautiful and by the time it goes full circle around the building it becomes a hideous monster!

I am still trying to put the picture of missing UK little girl Madeleine's face into the minds of many, so, if your readers would pop over to Cheltenham to have a look i'd be grateful. You never know she could be in your road or mine by now. We can all look! Thanks.
